Patterns: snakebone, flower, rice, rice harvest

Size: 9.25” x 13”

Ethnic Group/Region: Indigo ikat fabric from the Phu Tai ethnic group from Konlor village, Khammoun Province, southern Laos. 

Material: Hand-spun, natural hand-dyed, and handwoven indigenous cotton, sourced from Houey Hong Vocational Training Center (HHVTC) in Vientiane, Laos, who worked directly with a group of women weavers to help them recreate their heritage ikat designs, such as the snakebone pattern.

Artisan Enterprise: Japanese knotbag pattern customized and sewn by Lao women at Houey Hong Vocational Training Center, Vientiane, Laos. 

Embroidery: Hand stitched designs using natural-dyed indigo and non-dyed thread from Lao by Mary Louise Marino, artist and founder of Indigo Lion.

Care: Delicate machine wash or hand wash in cold water with mild soap. Do not soak or rub. Line dry or tumble dry low. Iron as needed.
