This decorative textile was originally woven to be a ‘sinh’, or traditional Lao skirts.

Pattern + Color: diamond + crab, grey green

Weaver + Ethnic Group + Region: Ta of the Tai Lue ethnic group of weavers in Ban Phanom Village, Luang Prabang Province, Laos

Material + Technique: Hand-spun, natural hand-dyed, and handwoven indigenous cotton in traditional designs and patterns.

Care: Wash infrequently and only if necessary. Spot clean preferred. Do not rub. If you need to wash it, machine wash separately using the delicate setting in cold water with mild soap. Do not soak. Line dry or tumble dry low. Iron as needed. If bleeding occurs, wash again until excess dye is out.
